His first cartoon collection reprinted within three months and is now in its third printing. His second collection is in its second printing. His many fans will love this third volume with its Tweeting bishops, its sociological study of the average Lent group, its handy guide to weighing up the respective merits of going to a church service vs. an Alpha course, and a great deal more.

Dave Walker

Dave Walker is a freelance cartoonist specialising in church and cycling-themed cartoons. He started drawing cartoons when he should have been concentrating on theological lectures at college, and his drawings have now appeared each week in the Church Times for ten years. He has drawn cartoons for The Guardian, Christian Aid, Greenpeace, and Cycling Weekly, among others. He runs a number of cartoon websites, including cartoonchurch.com, which supplies ecclesiastical cartoons for church magazines.

Dave lives in Essex, where he is on the steering group for a Methodist chapel, The Fishermen's Chapel in Leigh-on-Sea.

'Walker's laterally thinking humour shows an intimate knowledge of the sometimes strange behaviour of us church folk. I haven't laughed so much for ages ... An excellent Chrsitmas present for almost any churchgoer.' -- John Henderson '... slightly irreverant, but very humorous ... If you have friends who think church is dull and boring, and wonder what you see in attending, then this might just settle their minds once and for all. Alternatively keep a copy in your smallest room and listen out for the guffaws.'
