Great Sacred Music: a lunchtime of inspiration
Could choral music transform your church? Discover Great Sacred Music – a simple programme of music and reflection that brings non-churchgoers to St Martin-in-the-Fields every Thursday lunchtime.
Blending choral music (live or recorded) with accessible stories, Great Sacred Music has been proven to attract those who are curious about the sacred but would hesitate to attend a formal service. With a straightforward structure and sample services now available in book form, it can be recreated and used in churches of any size; and the broad approach can be adapted for other kinds of music or art more generally.
Join us at St Martin-in-the-Fields on Thursday 12 June at 1pm to experience a Great Sacred Music event in person and be inspired to run something similar at your church!.Then join Sam Wells, Vicar of St Martin-in-the-Fields in conversation with Director of Music Andrew Earis, also a producer of BBC Radio religious programmes, and award-winning composer Bernadette Farrell to discuss the inviting power of sacred music and the impact of the Great Sacred Music format.
