The hymnal contains 699 hymns and a further 241 psalms and paraphrases-910 items in all, making this one of the most comprehensive books available. One special feature is a section dedicated to material for children, which is considered to be the best selection available in any denominational hymn book. A wide range of traditional and contemporary authors and composers are represented, from little known 17 century writers such as Katharina Schlegel to modern day favourites including John Bell and Graham Kendrick. A high proportion of the material has been introduced from English-speaking countries around the world.
"Itis a rich fund of Christian songs (with music) which will interest all concerned with Church music." THE IRISH CATHOLIC, April 28, 2005.
