There are plenty of resources to help with choosing music for services based on the Principal readings of the Common worship lectionary, but nothing for cathedrals and many churches which routinely hold services based on the second set of readings - matins, evensong, family services, services of the word and other non-eucharistic acts of worship. This book provides all the resource material required - and includes selections of hymns from all the leading hymn and song books to accompany the Second Service readings in Common Worship. Additionally, it includes suggestions for music for organ or piano and choir, Taize, Iona and other world music.
